On this trip, we took a plane from Don Mueang Airport to Sakon Nakhon Province.

First destination, have breakfast at Lert Rot Kai Kata, a famous breakfast restaurant in Sakon Nakhon province.

Indigo is a plant native to Asia. It is a small shrub. In ancient times, people soaked the entire indigo leaf in lye water to ferment the indigo water to dye cloth. The resulting color is a dark blue, called indigo.

Day2: Visit Tha Rae Community

The Roman Catholic Church, named “Saint Michael Cathedral”, is a large church shaped like a boat, located in the Tha Rae community.

Day3: Pay respects to Phra That Phanom.

Phra That Phanom, the sacred stupa associated with people born in the Year of the Monkey

Visit Kalamae Touljai, Kalamae is an ancient local dessert.

Watch a demonstration of traditional Thai dessert making. Start by stirring fresh coconut milk with glutinous rice flour and sugar for about 4 hours. When the kalamae is sticky, wrap it in banana leaves. The banana leaves used for wrapping must be rolled with a traditional iron.
